Navicat for Oracle Lite (beta version) is released

We are happy to tell that Navicat for Oracle Lite (beta version) is released today!

This new version supports connection to Oracle 9i or above and is available for Windows and Mac OS X.

As the newest member to the Navicat family, this Oracle Lite Version has included most of the Navicat’s basic features and remained to be simple to learn and simple to use. During the beta period, we welcome users’ feedback on the product features and functionalities, which can help us to improve the software over time.

About Navicat for Oracle Lite Version

Navicat for Oracle is a powerful Oracle Database Server administration and development tool. It works with any Oracle version from 9i and supports all Oracle objects including Directory, Tablespace, Synonym, Materialized View, Trigger, Sequence, Type, etc. With its well-designed Graphical User Interface (GUI) and stepwise wizard system, Navicat for Oracle lets you quickly and easily create, organize, access and share information in a secure and easy way.

Management for Oracle objects is very comprehensive.  With Table Designer, users can create, edit and drop table’s fields, indexes, foreign keys, checks, triggers, privileges such operations.  It allows users to create, edit and drop directories, tablespaces, publice database links, public synonyms, database links, indexes, materialized views, materialized view logs, packages, sequences, synonyms, triggers and types.Navicat for Oracle Lite version provides three connection modes to the Oracle server: 1) connection through the Oracle Call Interface (OCI) in Basic mode, 2) alias entry from a tnsnames.ora file in TNS mode and 3) direct connection over TCP/IP in Direct mode. New Member of Navicat Family

We will soon have a new member in our Navicat Family, the Navicat for Oracle. Oracle version of Navicat has been a long-awaited piece in our collection. We are happy to tell we’re now in the final stage of the development and very close to the release of the Lite Version of Navicat for Oracle. The main part of the software is working very well and we are now concentrating on tuning the fine details, as well as preparing the documentations and new website for it. 

Releasing Navicat for Oracle Lite Version will be our first step,  for this free of charge Lite Version, users can download it for non-commercial use. It contains most of the robust functions which are sufficient enough for modest Oracle database management.

We hope to receive feedbacks and suggestions from users after the release of the Lite Version, and keep on improving the functions and features of it as well as for the full version which we target to release in October.

Our New Born Baby - Jcoder

It has been 2 months since the launch of our new product JCODER in May. We are happy to see more and more download requests received every day.

We have received so many supportive feedbacks from our users. They are very helpful in providing so many constructive ideas to help us impoving the functions and features of JCODER. Our development teams are working hard to incorporate the ideas into the next release of JCODER. Thanks for every one who has evaluated the copy and sent us a feedback!

In case some of you may not know we have released a new product, let me briefly introduce it.

JCODER is a powerful Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Java developers. It allows you to compile and debug your Java program from the editor environment, as well as browse through your classes, etc.
